Alma intercultural centre is a not-for-profit organisation offering in-person Italian language courses for adults and children, aiming at preserving and promoting Italian language and culture.
We organise cultural events and workshops that celebrate Italian heritage, fostering a sense of identity and belonging.
We see our centre as a cultural meeting point—bringing together people from diverse backgrounds, all united by a shared passion for learning Italian. While we celebrate Italian language and culture, we also deeply value and promote respect for all cultures represented within our community.

Our Italian and language school is dedicated to supporting bilingual families and their children in maintaining and strengthening their connection to the Italian language and cultural heritage.

Our main goal is to provide a nurturing and enriching environment where children can continue to develop their Italian language skills while deepening their sense of identity and belonging.
We are committed to promoting Italian culture in all its forms—art, music, history, and traditions—so that the next generation grows up with a strong and lasting bond to their heritage.
Beyond the classroom, our goal is to create a vibrant community where everyone can experience the warmth and charm of Italian culture. Through events, activities, and shared experiences, we bring people together to feel the true atmosphere of Italy—right where they are
MEET OUR TEAM
JASMINE FLORIS
MANAGING DIRECTOR
I come from Sardinia, Italy. I hold a Master’s degree in Administration and Political Science. Right after my degree I started working in education as ELT activities assistant in international summer camps.
I have been immersed in an international environment since I was 23 when I started travelling around Europe: I have lived and worked in Italy, Ireland, Spain and the UK. Thanks to my experience as Director of an English language school in the UK, from 2019 to 2023, I have developed an in depth knowledge of all aspects of running language courses and camps.
I am a passionate educator who really thrives on fostering a dynamic and enriching environment where all students can learn and grow. In my free time I love travelling and spending time with my family and friends.
ROSA NAZZARO
DIRECTOR AND ACADEMIC MANAGER
I am a qualified MFL teacher. I hold a Master’s degree in Modern Foreign Languages from the University of Pisa, PGCE in English and German from the University of Pisa, DITALS (Teaching Italian as a foreign language) from the University of Siena, a Post-Graduate Master DITALS in teaching and promotion of Italian language from the University of Venice and a Post Graduate Award in Technology Enhanced Learning from the University of Warwick.
Besides my teaching experience with teenagers in high schools, I have an extensive teaching experience also with adults in different contexts.
Since I moved to England in 2016 I have been teaching German and Italian at the Language Centre and at the Warwick Business School at the University of Warwick.
I have had the opportunity to teach multicultural classes in an open and wide environment, where students could see the classroom as a dialogue between different cultures.
I think that teaching a foreign language is always an opportunity to demonstrate how a language can shape the way we think.
I believe that a relaxed and friendly environment as well as creative and engaging learning material are fundamental to learn a foreign language.

They continuously enhance their skills through ongoing training in both teaching and coaching methods—ensuring every lesson is dynamic, effective, and tailored to help you speak Italian with confidence and ease.
Laura Milanesi
I am an Italian nursery teacher with lots of experience in education and early years settings. Since high school I got my diploma in a pedagogical Institute focused on children’s psychology and after finishing a Master degree in Italian and European Modern Cultures and Languages I decided to move abroad to pursue my goal of teaching Italian to foreigners. I am very passionate about making every lesson as fun and entertaining as possible, engaging the children with educational games in a safe environment, where learning a new language is a joy and not a burden. I am an expert in reading books upside down, singing all the Italian nursery rhymes and dance and smile at the same time! I can’t wait for you to join us in this amazing journey!
Veronica Michelini
I am an Italian teacher with a deep passion for working with children and supporting their development in a fun, caring, and meaningful way. My educational journey began in Italy, where I studied at the Liceo Socio-Psico-Pedagogico, gaining a strong foundation in pedagogy, psychology, and the social sciences. Since then, I’ve worked in a range of early years settings, from nurseries to primary schools, and I am currently a Teaching Assistant supporting children on a one-to-one basis in a UK primary school. I am qualified at EYFS Level 2 and SEND Level 2, and I take pride in creating a safe and stimulating environment where children feel confident, valued, and inspired to learn. Whether it's using games, stories, or sensory activities, I always strive to make learning fun and purposeful. I love seeing the smiles and progress of the children I work with, and I’m so excited to share this journey with you!
